Homemade mayonnaise - An easy and quick recipe.

Lately I've stopped buying mayonnaise and started to make it at home!

I discovered how easy and quick it is to make homemade mayonnaise. Whenever I need mayonnaise I just make a small amount.

It's much tastier and it is without preservatives!

In terms of tools - you can use a rod blender, I prefer to use a whisk that connects to a rod blender and a bowl.

It is also possible to do everything in a food processor.

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 1 flat teaspoon of Dijon mustard

  • 200 ml of grape seed oil

  • 100 ml canola oil


  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar / squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 flat teaspoon of salt

  • A pinch of black pepper [optional]

**The grape seed oil can be converted to canola oil or any other neutral oil


  • Place the egg yolks and mustard in a bowl and start whisking them with an electric whisk, at the same time pouring the oil slowly and evenly.

  • When a smooth, creamy texture begins to form, the rate of oil pouring can be increased until fully incorporated.

  • Then add the white wine vinegar, salt and pepper and continue to whisk a little more.

  • And this is it, delicious homemade mayonnaise in no time!
